The renovation of Butler Library will be completed during the 2009 Fall semester.  Noted below are construction activities during the month of November. We apologize for any disruption in the coming weeks due to final construction activities.

Roof Replacement 

Roof replacement has been completed. Contractor clean up and final details are in progress.  To keep out the weather, birds, etc.  Please remember to close windows before leaving if you open them. 

General Construction

Construction, including patching & painting, will continue on Stack 15 and the 8th & 9th floors.  The West hallways on the 1st &  6th floors will be rehabbed. Please watch your step and expect intermittent noise.

Adjusting New HVAC Equipment

Expect periods when air handlers are off and spaces are chilly, or warm as new HVAC equipment is adjusted throughout the building.   Balancers will return to make final adjustments.

Inspections

Expect to see the contractors and building inspectors touring completed spaces from time to time.
