Butler Reference Staff
History & Humanities Division

The History & Humanities Division at Butler Library is comprised of librarians with subject expertise who support the research and teaching mission of Columbia University by

  • providing instruction in research methods and resources, as well as in software applications
  • building the strong research collections housed in Butler Library
  • working as liaisons with faculty to strengthen and refine our resources and to meet the needs of our users
  • providing reference assistance to patrons across various media
