System Requirement:

• System Requirements for DiscoveryGate (PDF)

• PC users: IE 6.0 SP1for Windows 2000 SP1 and 6.0 SP2 for Microsoft Windows XP SP2; Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher

• MAC users: Mac 10.4 or higher; Safari 2.0; Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher

Installation Instructions: (PC only. MAC users please skip this step)

• Review DiscoveryGate Installation and Configuration Procedures

• Go to http://gateway.discoverygate.com/ or http://www.discoverygate.com

• Make sure your system is set up accordingly and download software

• Save the installer file to your Desktop.

• Run the installer.
  The installer will install JRE 1.4.2_06 (if not already present), IMRW, and the DiscoveryGate jar files including the most recent version of MDL® Draw.

• Start DiscoveryGate. Begin your session.

Off-Campus Access

To access DiscoveryGate from off campus you must have VPN installed on your computer. Right now only Columbia University faculty, staff, and the graduate students in Chemistry Department can log on to the VPN server.

 To install VPN on your computer please contact the Chemistry Librarian.
