Directions to the Chemistry Library

From College Walk (the pedestrian boulevard corresponding to W.116th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue), go up the left (west) side steps of Low Plaza. Continue on the walkway that runs along the west side of the domed Low Library Building. After passing Earl Hall, you will see a hedge-enclosed grassy square on the left. On the north side of this square is Havemeyer Hall.

Inside Havemeyer, turn left and pass room 309. On the right is a door to the stairwell that leads to the fourth floor of Chandler Hall. Go up one flight, turn left and up the stairs into Chandler. Turn right and the library entrance will be visible.

Note: The library is open to Columbia affiliates only. Those without a valid Columbia I.D. should first visit the Library Information Office (LIO) in room 201 of Butler Library, for information on library privileges and access.
