Take note: some card catalogs still in use!

Although by far the largest portion of the bibliographic records in our old card catalogs have been converted to online records and are now available through CLIO, there are some exceptions. If you have a need to use Chinese Special Collections materials such as genealogies for instance, it is advisable to double-check the old Chinese card catalog, since conversion of these records has not yet been completed. Likewise, if you are searching for an older (pre-1980) Western-language title that you feel the library ought to have, but that you cannot find in CLIO, be sure to check the Western-language card catalog. Chances are you'll find the title there. This applies particularly to volumes that were published in monographic series, since in those cases only the series titles were converted. Converting the records for individual volumes in series will be handled at a later date. The conversion of Korean and Japanese records is complete.
