The C. V. Starr East Asian Library now has an electronic entry gate, and you will need to swipe your Columbia ID card for access.

 

Access to the Library is restricted to members of the Columbia community with a valid Columbia ID card, and those in possession of a reader’s card or photo ID card issued by the Library Information Office.*

 

If you do not have a valid Columbia ID, you must first go to the Library Information Office in 201 Butler Library where either a reader’s card or (at a charge) a photo ID card will be issued to eligible visitors.  Keep in mind that eligibility for reading privileges is not automatic, even if you have used our library for many years.  For full information on access and eligibility for reading privileges please visit:
