Make a Suggestion or Purchase Recommendation

If  you know of a book or other resource that is currently not in our collection, and you would like to suggest we  purchase  it, you can do so through the purchase recommendation form on LibraryWeb.  It is at the bottom of the Request It Online section of LibraryWeb.  This service is available to Columbia affiliates only and the form resides in a secure site.  You will be asked to login with your CU UNI and password.  Once you have the form in front of you, be sure to check off East Asian in the first section, and follow the instructions on the form, cutting and pasting the citation for the recommended resource into the free-text box, or filling out as much information as you know in the section below it.

In the same spirit, although we obviously do our utmost to provide the best possible services and try to anticipate your needs at all times,  we do realize that on occasion situations may arise where you would wish certain options were available that are not.  This may at times be due to constrictions on our budget, space, and manpower.  However, it may be that you have an idea that we have not thought about and that might be quite feasible for us to consider.  Be assured that we are always eager to hear from you, and look forward to your input.  So if you have a suggestion to make, please do not hesitate to do so.  You can always speak to us in person, or you can email us at starr@libraries.cul.columbia.edu.
