AIMU Tsuneo, a graduate of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, is well known for his bronze sculptures and metallic craft objects. He is the winner of the Salon du Printempe Prize, Modern Art and Craft Prize, and the Yomiuri Press Prize.
SUGIURA Yasuyoshi, also graduate of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, is well known for his ceramic sculptures, particularly his large flower sculptures. His work has appeared in many art museums around the world.
The exhibition is being held in connection with Sen Sooku, the future Grand Master of the Mushakōji School of Tea, presently a visiting scholar at Columbia University. Sponsored by Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, C.V. Starr Library, and Donald Keene Center of Japanese Culture.
