Note from the Curator

The Papers of Edith Altshul Lehman, dating mainly from 1963 until 1976, supplement our files, which already include Edith Altshul Lehman material from 1910 until 1962, integrated into the Herbert H. Lehman Papers.

This group of papers illustrates Mrs. Lehman's continuing interest in political campaigns, in philanthropies--particularly the Henry Street Settlement and the Play Schools Association--and in animal protection. The following checklist demonstrates the wide range of her interests.
