How to Get There

The Ancient & Medieval Studies Reading Room is located on the 6th Floor of Butler Library in room 603. It may be reached using either the East or West elevators, but is closest to the East elevators.

Taking the east elevators to the 6th Floor:

Turn left out of the elevators and walk to the end of the hallway. On your left will be a glass door, indicating an entry point into a series of reading rooms. Enter here, pass by 605 on your left and 604 on your right, and proceed directly into the Ancient and Medieval Studies Reading Room.

Taking the west elevators to the 6th Floor (not until Fall 2003):

Turn right, and proceed to the end of the corridor. Turn right again, entering a small vestibule, and enter the South Asian Studies Reading Room. Continue through, passing the Islamic Studies Reading Room. The next room you enter will be the Ancient and Medieval Studies Reading Room.
