Circulation and Access Policy

Access to the Map Collection is available at all times that Lehman Library is open. There is no full-time staffing, so the collection is essentially a self-help collection. When available, Reference staff can answer questions about the collection and help patrons locate materials.

Circulation is possible only through arrangement with the Lehman Reference staff. Maps for course work may circulate for up to a semester, although such requests must be made in advance, in writing, to the head of the Map Room by the faculty member teaching the class. Maps for research may circulate for up to two hours.
