Directions to the Oral History Research Office

The Oral History Research Office is located on the 8th floor of Butler Library on the Morningside campus of Columbia University.

Map of the Campus (including Butler Library).
Butler Library is often confused with Low Library. Butler Library has a facade that is etched with the names of famous writers, and is not the building with a facade that reads "The Library of Columbia University."

Directions to the Campus.

When you arrive at Butler, you must show the guard your Columbia ID card. If you are not affiliated with Columbia, you must register with the Library Information Office, located to the left of the guard station.

Walk down the corridor to the left, then to the right, and take the east elevator to the sixth floor. Exit the elevator and turn right. Take the southeast stairs to the eighth floor, and the Office is located halfway down the corridor to your right, in room 801.
