Inventory of Items Still Missing from 1994 Theft

The Rare Book and Manuscript Library was the victim of a thief who stole a number of books and manuscripts in the spring of 1994. The theft was discovered on 5 July 1994. The thief was caught in June 1995, a number of items were recovered, and the thief began his prison term.  In September 1999, the thief violated his parole and was caught again, and further, but not all items were recovered.
