Finding Materials:  Microfilms

The RBML has limited numbers of archival materials that exist on microfilm only: (Carnegie Corporation Library grants), as well as microfilm publications combining manuscript holdings from various repositories (Hebrew Manuscripts). The bulk of the RBML microfilms represent copies of the paper originals in our collections. In order to preserve the unique manuscript materials, we ask our readers to use documents on microfilm whenever available, rather than access the original manuscript. The RBML maintains a database of available microfilms, and there is a separate database for Bakhmeteff Archive. Many of these microfilms can also be requested through Interlibrary Loan. Please contact the RBML reference staff for additional information.

See: Reproduction Services for information about requesting to create a new microfilm
