Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs Records

CCEIA

The Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs (formerly the Church Peace Union and later the Council on Religion in International Affairs) was founded by Andrew Carnegie in 1914. The CCEIA Records represent the second Carnegie collection (after the CEIP) to find its home at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Columbia University. The first installment of the Council’s archival materials came to the RBML in 1974, with numerous additions over the years.

The Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs Records spanning 1914-1990 are open to researchers.  The later additions are still unprocessed.  For the folder-level inventory of holdings please contact the curator.  The CLIO record and the scanned finding aid for the pre-1990 materials can be viewed online.
