On Meyer Schapiro
(NEW YORK, January 16, 2009) A conference and exhibition to celebrate the publication of Meyer Schapiro Abroad: Letters to Lillian and Travel Notebooks will take place January 30 at Columbia University. (download invitation)
The conference will take place on Friday, January 30th, 2009 from 200-5:00 p.m. at The Frieda and Milton Rosenthal Auditorium, 501 Schermerhorn Hall.
The presentations and discussion will be followed by a reception in the Alan and Margaret Kempner Exhibition Gallery of the Rare Book & Manuscript Library, which will feature an exhibition of pages from Meyer Schapiro’s travel notebooks (1926-1927).
