Columbia Receives Adachi Collection of the Japanese Puppet Theater Bunraku

Puppeteer Tamao is completely involved with his puppet's role, Tokubei, here with Ohatsu in the final scene of Chikamatsu's Love Suicides at Sonezaki.		Here, Tamao's puppet, Shunkan, old and heavy with grief, struggles to climb a rock for a last look at the ship that leaves him in exile in Heike Nyogo no Shima.		A lineup of samisen players and narrators perform for a special scene on the yuka in Osaka during a formal summer performance.
