CLIO Tip: Find a Film




(NEW YORK, February 19, 2008)

Here are a few tips for finding films (video cassettes or DVDs) in CLIO:

By Title

  • Enter the title, e.g., Pride and Prejudice
  • Select Title Search
  • Use the Quick Limit Video Recordings



By Keyword

  • Search by keyword if you are looking for a director, actor or actress, or remember only part of the title, e.g., Campion or Truffaut
  • Combine title or subject keywords, e.g., “civil war” or “baseball”
  • Use the Quick Limit Video Recordings when searching by keyword



By Language

  • Use the Pre-Select Limits option to select a language, e.g., “Spanish”
  • Perform a keyword search on the word “films”
  • Select the Quick Limit “Video Recordings”





By Library

  • Click on Pre-Select Limits and select the library, e.g., Psychology Library. Click on Set Limits
  • Perform a keyword search for the word "videorecording"
  • Narrow your search by adding additional keywords: "videorecording and brain"
