About Science Journal Articles

Scope: You may request articles from journals that are not available (in print or online) on the Morningside campus. These articles must be in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Medicine. (To request books or monographs, please use Interlibrary Loan.)

Availability: This service is available to Columbia students, faculty and staff on the following campuses: Morningside, Lamont-Doherty, and Nevis Laboratories. (For those at the Health Science campus, please contact the Health Sciences Library.)

How to Request: Always check CLIO first to make sure Columbia does not already own the journal. Then complete and submit the online request form (next screen) or fill out a printed request form at a Columbia branch science library.

User Notification: When the article arrives, the relevant Columbia branch library will notify you by telephone or email so that you may pick it up.
