Purpose and Program Description
The Libraries seek to support research in all aspects of
business and economics, domestic and international, at the
graduate student through PhD and faculty levels of research in
accounting, management, marketing, economics, finance, etc. We
also focus on companies, industries, national economies,
international trade and global business/economic
developments.
The following changes in the user population were observed
during the first half of the 1990’s: Increased Business
School enrollment with 30% of the MBAs and more than 50% of PhDs
from outside the United States. The Economics Department
enrollment has been relatively stable.
New courses recently introduced include management of
non-profit organizations; business ethics; real estate
investment/development. A curriculum review resulted in a greater
emphasis on teaching international business.
Areas of established specialization are finance, management,
and economics.
