Question:

I am a graduate of Columbia University. May I use Columbia's e-resources?

Answer:

The licensing arrangements offered by providers of e-resources restrict access and use solely to current students, faculty, and staff of Columbia University, and those persons physically present in the Libraries.

On-campus to e-resources:
If you are using one of the networked computer workstations in the Columbia University Libraries you have full access to the e-resources available to Columbia students and faculty, including databases, ejournals, online reference works, online music and image collections.

Off-campus access to e-resources:
If you are using a computer from your home or office to access e-resources, you can access a limited number of resources through the Alumni and Friends Gateway.

If you are a recent graduate and you have been denied access from off-campus for the first time, it is likely that you had been granted extended access during a grace period that has elapsed.
