Columbia University LibX - Install LibX Now/Installation Instructions for Firefox

1. In Firefox, right-click here and choose Save Link As to download LibX.

2. NOTE: If you have a previous version of CUL LibX or another LibX, this installation will overwrite your current version.

   NOTE: You do not need to be an administrator to install the Firefox plugin

   

3. A dialog box will appear. Choose a location to save LibX to and press Save.
4. From within Firefox, click on File, then Open File.

6. Browse to the folder to where you downloaded the LibX plugin, select it and click Open.
7. Click Install Now in the Software Installation window

9. An "Add-ons" window will appear - click on the Restart Firefox button

10. 

11. Congratulations! You have installed Columbia University Libraries LibX! It will appear at the top of your browser beneath the address bar.

13. Now, proceed to the User Guide section of Columbia University LibX!
