Open Positions
- A postdoctoral position is immediately available for research in circuitry and neurodegenerative disease as part of a DoD funded project. We have recently established links between defective motor circuit function and the lethal motor system disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy [ Imlach et al. Cell (2012) 151: 427, Lotti et al. Cell (2012) 151: 440 ]. The research will investigate motor circuit neural networks in Drosophila and the role of conserved genes required for neuronal circuit function. The candidate must have demonstrated extensive experience with electrophysiological techniques. Additional experience with Drosophila genetics and electrophysiological preparations will be an advantage.
