Interactive media will replace boring web content soon, so don't wait too long until you engage JAVA and VRML... This site will show you how VRML change the way we presents the results of computer modeling....

·         Why do we need Quicktime animation?

We provide quicktime movie as an alternative tool of web-aided engineering. It provides a 2D non-interactive animation. The size of VRML animation file is larger than quicktime movie files. When the band-width of your computer is not large enough, you may take a few minutes or longer to load the VRML animation files. Therefore, quicktime is a also good choice to view the FEM results.

·         Why bother to use VRML to present FEM result on line?

VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is an excellent language for interactive 3D visualization and animation of results from engineering applications, because it offers entirely new possibilities of reporting and presenting FEA-results by interactive 3D-visualizations without special hardware or software,  and people can discuss FEA-results online via Internet from wherever they are.

* To view this 3D VRML animation, you need to have VRML plug-in installed on your system (download GLView (recomended) or CosmoPlayer) and allowed Java and Java-Script in your browser settings. Please be a little patient: Time for loading the data files and starting the plug-ins depends on connection quality and your system configuration. After loading the data you can pan, zoom and rotate, animate ( by double click the object) the model to any view you desire.
