Attention All New and Returning Mockers (UPDATE)

Update: The Mandatory New Interest Meeting will be held this Sunday, September 7 at 3pm in Lerner 569.

For all those interested in trying out for the 2008-2009 Columbia University Mock Trial program, you MUST attend the New Interest Meeting to be held on Sunday, September 7 @ 3 PM. If you absolutely can't make the New Interest Meeting, please contact our President, Jessica Becker, as soon as possible.

At the meeting more information will be given on the tryout process itself, the 2008-2009 tournament schedule and what Columbia Mock Trial is all about (winning). Tryouts will be held the following weekend, September 13 & 14.

Regionals and Nationals

At the Jamaica Regional Tournament, Team Bronx took 4th and Team Brooklyn finished in 7th. At the Rhode Island Regional Tournament, Team Queens took 1st.

Team Bronx continued on to the Silver NationalTournament in Tuscon, while Team Queens attended the Gold Nationals in Minneapolis.

CUBAIT 5

Columbia hosted its 5th Annual Columbia University Big Apple Invitational Tournament this past weekend. We want to thank all teams in attendance, especially those traveling from such long distances to come. Congratulations to Miami University of Ohio on winning the tournament, and becoming the first ever two-time CUBAIT champions.

Columbia Finishes First, Second at Yale Invitational

Team Brooklyn finishes in 1st Place in the Disney World division!

Tenth Anniversary

Congratulations to all the new members of the Columbia University Mock Trial Program. Tryouts this year were the most competitive in the program's history, with a record number of talented students trying out for a limited number of spots. We all look forward to a fun and successful 2007-2008 season.

This season also marks the tenth anniversary of Columbia Mock Trial. Founded by a small group of freshmen and sophomores in 1998, Columbia Mock Trial has grown to become one of the most prestigious programs in the country. We are currently ranked in the top 10 nationally, and we have placed a team in the top 10 at the National Championship Tournament for six straight years. Stay tuned for more information on the tenth anniversary of CUMT.

Attention All Returning and New Students

UPDATE: Our New Interest Meeting will be at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 9 in Lerner 569. If you cannot attend the New Interest Meeting, or foresee not being able to attend tryouts on September 15 or 16, please contact Evan Daar as soon as possible.

The Columbia University Mock Trial Program ties for Second Place in the Vause Division of the National Tournament in St. Petersburg, FL! Evan Daar wins All-National Attorney Award! See results page for details.

Where we have been: GAMTI, Iowa, Rhodes, Yale, UCLA, CUBAIT, Regionals, National Tournament, National Championship Tournament.

How we did: 1 Invitational Championship, 11 Top Ten Finishes, 26 Individual Awards, 1 All-National Award, 1 All-American Award, 1 bid to the National Tournament & 1 bid to the National Championship Tournament!
