Attention All New and Returning Mockers (UPDATE)
Update: The Mandatory New Interest Meeting will be held this Sunday, September 7 at 3pm in Lerner 569.________________________________________________
For all those interested in trying out for the 2008-2009 Columbia University Mock Trial program, you MUST attend the New Interest Meeting to be held on Sunday, September 7 @ 3 PM. If you absolutely can't make the New Interest Meeting, please contact our President, Jessica Becker, as soon as possible.
At the meeting more information will be given on the tryout process itself, the 2008-2009 tournament schedule and what Columbia Mock Trial is all about (winning). Tryouts will be held the following weekend, September 13 & 14.

Regionals and Nationals
At the Jamaica Regional Tournament, Team Bronx took 4th and Team Brooklyn finished in 7th. At the Rhode Island Regional Tournament, Team Queens took 1st.

Team Bronx continued on to the Silver NationalTournament in Tuscon, while Team Queens attended the Gold Nationals in Minneapolis.

Tenth Anniversary
This season also marks the tenth anniversary of Columbia Mock Trial. Founded by a small group of freshmen and sophomores in 1998, Columbia Mock Trial has grown to become one of the most prestigious programs in the country. We are currently ranked in the top 10 nationally, and we have placed a team in the top 10 at the National Championship Tournament for six straight years. Stay tuned for more information on the tenth anniversary of CUMT.
Attention All Returning and New Students
For all those interested in trying out for the 2007-2008 Columbia University Mock Trial program, you MUST attend the New Interest Meeting on Sunday, September 9 @ 4:00 PM in Lerner 569. If you absolutely cannot attend the New Interest Meeting, please contact our President, Evan Daar, as soon as possible.
Information on the tryout process, the 2007-2008 schedule, and what Columbia Mock Trial is all about will be announced at the meeting. Tryouts will be held all day on the following Saturday and Sunday, September 15 & 16.
Also, look for our booths at the Pre-Professional/Academic Organization Meet & Greet on Sunday, September 2 and the Activities Fair on Friday, September 7. You can also join the CUMT 2007-2008 Tryouts group on Facebook today.
