In this insert, we will explore a few readily available network applications that will make it faster and easier to navigate the Internet. These handy programs have a few things in common. First, all are written for the Microsoft Windows Operating Environment. Secondly, they all require a Winsock-compliant TCP/IP manager. Finally, all programs are freeware or shareware and are widely available on FTP sites all over the world.
