AcIS Adds 24 Hour Facilities

by Timothy Szykula

Last year, the only facility on campus that provided twenty-four hour access to word processing was in Butler, where there were eight machines. Over the summer, AcIS has vastly increased their twenty-four hour facilities. This year, a total of thirty-three word processing capable machines are available around- the-clock. The breakdown of building/number of machines is as follows: Butler/seven, Carman/four, Furnald/four, Schapiro/six, and Wien/twelve. Sometime in the middle of last year, AcIS extended the closing time of the Mudd 251 computer lab to 1:00 am to help students with late night computing needs. This change will remain in effect this year in conjunction with the new machines.
