"Hot Links / Cool Page" Home Page Competition

Who has the best home page at Columbia? If you think you do, then you should submit your URL to Columbia's "Hot Links / Cool Page" Home Page Competition organized by the Moment. You can also nominate your friends home pages if you thi nk they are good enough to compete against the best of the Web.

The Moment Web Staff will pick three of the best of the submissions and post their URLs on the Moment Home Page. Our readers will then have a chance to vote for their favorite among the three finalists with an electronic ballot. (Some what like the format they use in America Funniest Home Videos.)

The deadline for URL submission and nomination is February 15, 1996. There are few restrictions: Home pages must be stored under the Columbia File system accessible by . All nominations must have the c onsent of the owners of the submitted page. Members of the Moment Web Group are not allowed to enter this competition. Also, no lobbying or campaigning.

Prizes will be announced in subsequent issues. We are currently seeking donations from interested sponsors. Please email moment@columbia.edu for more information.

All URL submissions should be sent to moment@columbia.edu . You can also include a short paragraph telling us why your page should be chosen as a finalist. Here is a chance for you to do some damage.

We suggest that you spend your winter break revamping your home page, and then come back in the spring and show off what you've got! We'll be waiting.
