State of the Planet Conference
For two days, over 1000 students, leading scientists, experts and
policymakers from around the world gathered at The Earth Institute at
Columbia University for the State of the Planet conference to examine
the relationship between the human condition and the condition of the
Earth in areas such as energy, food, water and health. State of the
Planet 2004 focuses on topics crucial to both the citizens of
developing nations and the sustainability of the planet. Their
