JUDGING

A two-step process will determine the winners. A set of screening judges, working remotely, will narrow down the entries to five finalists in each category. Then the board of the Online Journalism Awards (a group of industry leaders that is in formation), will meet in New York to pick the winners. Dean Tom Goldstein of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism will chair the Board, which has the final say in all matters regarding the awards.
