Columbia Journalism School Hosts Panel Discussion, "Election 2000 -- Style Over Substance: Why Issues Are No Longer An Issue"

A panel discussion, "Election 2000 -- Style Over Substance: Why Issues Are No Longer An Issue," will be presented at the fall alumni meeting of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. Free and open to the public, the discussion will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2000, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Third-Floor Lecture Hall of the Graduate School of Journalism, Broadway & 116th Street.

Panelists will include: Wayne Barrett, (J'68), political writer, The Village Voice, and co-author, Rudy!: An Investigative Biography of Rudolph Giuliani; Howard Fineman, (J'73), chief political correspondent, Newsweek; Jane Hall, (J'73), contributor, Fox News Watch; professor, American University; Lonnie Isabel, national editor, Newsday; Peter Landis, (J'75), news director, NY1; and E.R. Shipp, (J'78), professor, Columbia Journalism School; former ombudsman, The Washington Post.
