Moderated by Michael Mandel, the economics editor at Business Week and author of The Coming Internet Depression, the panel discussion will feature Anita Brown, founder and chair of Black Geeks Online, a nonprofit corporation based in Washington, D.C.; Esther Dyson, chairman of EDventure Holdings and author of Release 2.1: A Design for Living in the Digital Age; Stephen Jukes, head of Reuters worldwide news operations, and Martin Varsavsky, president of Jazztel S.A. in Spain, EINSTEINet in Germany and the Varsavsky Foundation, a U.S.based non-profit.

Among the issues to be discussed are:

  • Who has really gained (and who hasn't) from the New Economy prosperity?
  • Who will be hurt when the New Economy boom turns down?
