Leslie Maltz Appointed Deputy Vice President for IT Planning, Standards

Leslie Maltz has been appointed to the new position of deputy vice president for Information Technology Planning and Standards. Beginning June 11, she will be responsible for coordinating IT strategic planning on university-wide issues, and setting standards for platform deployment, data and document storage and systems and network security.

In addition, Maltz will work closely with the leadership of the principal IT units of the University.

Maltz has led computing operations and strategy at the Stevens Institute of Technology for many years, as director of computing and communications resources, and more recently, as chief information technology officer. She has also played an active professional role on the steering committee of the Coalition for Networked Information, and as a member of the boards of EDUCOM and CAUSE, including a term as Board Chairperson at CAUSE.
