"Mies in Effect," a symposium about Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's influence on contemporary architecture and art, will be held on Saturday, September 8 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Roone Arledge Auditorium in Alfred Lerner Hall on Columbia University's campus.

The event is sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art and is being presented in conjunction with their exhibits "Mies in Berlin" and "Mies in America."
