David Stern, chair of Columbia's Trustees and commissioner of the National Basketball Association, and Jerry Speyer, chair emeritus of the Columbia Trustees and president of Tishman Speyer Properties, have been named to New York City Mayor-elect Michael Bloomberg's transition committee. Mathilde Krim, an adjunct professor at the Mailman School of Public Health, was also named to the committee.
