Anson Mount (SoA '98) Stars with Britney Spears, Appears with Robert De Niro in Films This Year

Anson Mount (SoA '98) co-stars with Britney Spears in "Crossroads," a movie about three childhood girlfriends who rediscover their friendship after eight years of separation during a cross-country road trip with a "handsome, mysterious friend" of one of the girls (played by Mount). The movie opened on Feb. 15.

Later this year, Mount will appear in "Mark of a Murder," starring Robert De Niro and Frances McDormand. The film is based on the true story of police detective Vincent Lamarca (played by De Niro) whose father was executed for kidnapping and murder and whose son is the primary suspect in a death that Lamarca is investigating.

Mount's films credits include "Urban Legends: Final Cut" (2000), "Boiler Room" (2000) and "What Happened to Tully" (2000). His television credits include Sex and the City and Ally McBeal.

He also directed the film "Nose," in which he stars opposite Alan Cumming, Lea DeLaria and Patrick Breen.
