U.S. Should Not Act Unilaterally in Political and Economic Challenges, Pakistani Ambassador Says at Reuters Forum

Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Maleeha Lodhi said the United States should not act unilaterally in its political and economic challenges, promoting only its own interests. The United States should find cooperative solutions with other nations, including developing countries. As part of the third of seven 2002 Reuters forums on globalization, Nihad Awad of the Council on American-Islamic Relations added that inequality in the global economy has frequently led to poverty and misunderstanding around the world, a trend that continues post 9/11.
