Voting by Columbia teaching and research assistants to decide whether they wish to be represented by United Auto Workers Local 2110 union for purposes of collective bargaining continues today (March 14) and March 19 for the Morningside Heights campus. In general, TAs and RAs will vote on the campus where they normally teach or perform research.
Voting dates and polling locations by campus are as follows:

The election will be held although the University has asked the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in Washington, D.C., to review the ruling issued by the Regional Director of Region II on February 11, 2002, holding that Columbia's graduate research assistants and graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants are employees within the meaning of the National Labor Relations Act.
