On Friday, March 14, President Lee Bollinger will discuss the complex issues and consequences surrounding the upcoming Supreme Court cases on affirmative action and diversity in a lecture entitled "Affirmative Action and the U.S. Supreme Court." The discussion will focus on the upcoming cases: Gratz v. Bollinger, involving admissions to the University of Michigan's undergraduate College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, and Grutter v. Bollinger, involving the University of Michigan's law-school admissions policies.
The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the College of Physicians and Surgeons' Alumni Auditorium, 630 W. 168th Street. The event is sponsored by the Center for Bioethics and is open to the Columbia community.
