Computer Science Professor Andrew Kosoresow Dies at Age 39

Andrew Kosoresow (CC '85), assistant professor of computer science at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, died on Sunday, June 1, at his home in New York City. The cause of death was heart failure.

Kosoresow joined the faculty of Columbia University in 1997. He previously taught at the University of New Mexico and at Stanford University, from which he received his Ph.D. In 2001, Kosoresow he was awarded the Engineering School's Kim Award for Faculty Involvement. His mother, Claudia Kosoresow, survives him.

Two Russian Orthodox services will be held:
 - A memorial prayer service on Thursday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m.
 - A funeral service on Friday, June 6, at 11 a.m.

Both services will be held at:
Cathedral of Our Lady of the Sign
75 East 93rd Street, at Park Avenue
New York, NY

Following the Friday funeral service, internment will be conducted at:
Novo Diveevo Cemetery
Smith Road
Spring Valley, NY
