Philip Silverman Appointed Deputy Vice President for Real Estate

The University is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Silverman as deputy vice president for real estate.

Since joining Columbia in 2001, Silverman has been instrumental in the University's real estate acquisition and leasing strategy, as well as the management of certain properties the University leases to others. His appointment is appropriate recognition for the key role he plays as well as his expanded involvement in overseeing real estate acquisitions for the University as a whole and lease management for Columbia University Medical Center. He will remain a part of Facilities Management and will report directly to Senior Executive Vice President Robert Kasdin on transactions.
