The Department of Music and the Center for Jazz Studies at Columbia University present Music Humanities Jazz Day, with special guests the Jazz Composer's Collective.

Time: Lectures and demonstrations from 11 a.m. to noon and from 1: 10 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. Concert performance at 8 p.m.
Location: Party Performance Room, basement of Lerner Hall, 115th and Broadway
Admission: Free and open to the public
Established in 1992, the Jazz Composers Collective is a nonprofit, musician-run organization dedicated to advancing the development and presentation of new music by forward-thinking composers. To date, the collective has presented more than 100 concerts.
