The Columbia University Chinese Students & Scholars Assoc. (CUCSSA) sponsors the largest festivity to celebrate the Chinese New Year in the greater New York area. This year's party feting the Year of the Rooster is devoted to charitable fund-raising for the Dec. 26 tsunami victims. The event features traditional Chinese folk art performance, a martial arts demonstration by the internationally renowned Peking Opera Troupe and an acrobatic performance.
Join the festivities on Feb. 11 from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Alfred Lerner Hall on the Morningside Campus (115 St. and Broadway). Tickets are available at Lerner Hall Box Office and can also be purchased online at the CUCSSA Web site.
