Pratt, Joseph Stiglitz Address 14th Annual World Conference on
Cooperative Education

CAPTION: Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz (at podium) delivered the keynote speech at the World Conference on Cooperative Education, June 15.

Christopher Pratt and Economics Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz addressed the participants at the 14 th Annual World Conference on Cooperative Education, held at Northeastern University in Boston from June 14 to 17. In his keynote speech, Stiglitz addressed the role education plays in human capital workforce development. As a panelist in several conference special sessions, Dr. Pratt discussed the following topics:

  • Intersection between WIL programs and economic development, entrepreneurship, immigration and higher education
  • Recent international research about WIL
  • Connections between WIL in entrepreneurship and enterprise leadership education.
Each year since 1983, WACE brings economic development specialists from more than 40 countries together with academic and corporate leaders to examine the impact of work-integrated learning on global workforce development.
