CU Extends Sympathy, Maintains Security Precautions
The University extends its deepest condolences to the victims of the recent acts of terrorism in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, and its sympathy to the people of Egypt.
We also want to reassure members of the Columbia community that the University remains committed to maintaining a secure and open environment that fosters learning and is continuing an enhanced level of security on campus. In addition to increased foot and mobile patrols, the University continues to be in direct conversation with the NYPD and local Precinct Commanders.
