Special Transit Shuttle Bus Service to and from Major Transportation Hubs.

The University will provide a limited, special Transit Shuttle Bus service to and from major transportation hubs between 6 :30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. These 50-passenger buses are operated by Academy Bus, and will be identified by a Columbia University sign. A valid ID from Columbia University or its affiliates will be required to board all buses.

These Special Transit Shuttles will provide round-trip service to the following transit hubs. The location to pick up and drop off passengers is noted. Please note: all shuttle service is subject to delays from heavy traffic.

Penn Station/Port Authority

• 31st St and 8 th Ave, NE corner (Penn Station)
• 43rd St and 10 th Ave, NE corner (Port Authority Bus Terminal)
• 53rd St and 10 th Ave (special location for employees at 1700 Broadway buildling)
• 116th and Amsterdam Ave

125th St Metro - North Station

• 125th St and Park Avenue (Metro - North Harlem Station)
• 116th and Amsterdam Ave

George Washington Bridge

• 178th St and Fort Washington Ave ( Port Authority George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal )
• Milstein Hospital Building, Fort Washington Ave south of 168th St (Columbia University Medical Center)

Regular Columbia Shuttle

The regularly scheduled Columbia shuttles will also be running. Because of anticipated demand, extra shuttles have been booked for the route between the Medical Center and Morningside Campus. The Morningside location for the regular Columbia shuttle is at 116th St. and Broadway; the CUMC location is Fort Washington Ave. south of 168th St. Please use this shuttle to access the Special Transit Shuttle routes. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory shuttle will also run as usual between the Geosciences Building and 118 th and Amsterdam ($3.00 with CUID). For the schedule, please visit http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/ldeo/life/shuttle_schedule.html.


Columbia has set aside 75 parking spots at Baker Field for staff, faculty and students to use (a valid Columbia or affiliate ID card will be required). A shuttle van will operate in a loop between Baker Field and CUMC, from 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
