Former Abu Ghraib Commander Debates Morality of Torture, Apr. 14

On Friday, April 14, former commander of Abu Ghraib prison Janis Karpinski will participate in a panel discussion with military officials and human rights activists, titled "Torture on Trial: Morality, Law and Utility of Torture." Among the questions participants will consider are whether the objectives of the military and the international human rights community are fundamentally at odds.

The conference will begin at 9:00 a.m. in room 104 of Columbia Law School.
