New Voices New Play Festival, Through Apr. 29

From Thursday, April 13, through Sunday, April 29, ten M.F.A. playwrights from Columbia’s School of the Arts (SoA) are presenting their master works in staged readings directed and performed by some of New York’s finest theatre artists.

Participating directors include Rebecca Brown, Mary Catherine Burke, Mariana Carreño, Daniel Jaquez Alex Lippard, Eduardo Machado, Cecil Mackinnon, , Lou Moreno and Margarett Perry.

Past reading participants have included Mary Louise Burke, Billy Crudup, Nancy Giles, Logan Marshall Green, Swoosie Kurtz, Dan Lauria, Didi O'Connell, Estelle Parsons, David Strathairn, Ed Vassallo and Julie White.

All performances are at the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row Studios, 410 West 42nd Street. The readings are free, but reservations are required. For more information or to reserve seats for the Festival, please email newplays@columbiastages.com or call (212) 854-3408.
