On Monday, May 1, Blake Ross, the developer of Mozilla Firefox, will discuss open source technology and new products.

The event begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Alfred Lerner Hall Cinema.

Ross is best known for cofounding Firefox, an open-source web browser developed by thousands and downloaded by over 160 million people. In 2005, Ross was featured on the cover of Wired and nominated for the magazine's top award, Renegade of the Year. He was also a part of Rolling Stone's 2005 hot list.

The event is hosted by Scientists and Engineers for a Better Society (SEBS), along with cosponsoring clubs ACM, AASE, ESC, IEEE, NSBE, CSR, and CORE.
