Columbia University Commemorates the Fifth Anniversary of 9/11

Discussion focuses on health issues of rescue workers at the WTC site. Michael Ragsdale will be exhibiting around 1,000 pieces of the nearly 3,000 flyers, posters, cards, brochures, event programs, and other ephemera he collected throughout the New York City area for 14 months after the attacks took place.


From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe: Creative Responses to Conflict

On the fifth anniversary of 9/11, Columbia’s Center for International Conflict Resolution at the School for International and Public Affairs joins forces with the Peace Education Center at Teachers College and September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows. Discussion centers on the need to break the cycle of countering violence with violence. International guests recount their experiences with developing creative, non-violent responses to violence.
